Need help: Actor needs to follow finger motion

Hi,

I need help. I'm trying to have a actor follow a line that is already drawn in my background image. The actor would follow the user's finger along the path. I looked at some templates already where you would set up walls along the path and the actor would stay within the walls. The only problem is my line would be curved.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
