HELP!!! Huge Bug.

edited November -1 in Working with GS (Mac)
First, can't find the e-mail address for GS support. Can someone post it.

Second, working on a project that worked just fine in GS Viewer App and in Preview Mode after my second to last save. Then I made a couple of minor changes to a couple actors positions and saved. Now it freezes immediately when I use Preview or GS Viewer App. In Preview I can't even double click a scene to switch to that scene. Interestingly, it still works in the "Play" mode within the Creator. I need this resolved otherwise I lose about 10 hours of work. (Lesson learned-still need to do multiple back-ups even though these issues were supposedly fixed),

Just go in and remove the few changes you did b4 this happened.
And even if GS was 100% fixed you should always save backups.
Lots of things with computers can corrupt a project not just GS.

    :)

But id go look at the things you changed b4 the issue happened.

    cheers

I would do that but what I did was change some numbers for about 6 actors. Here is what I did, the same for each actor. I had the actors I changed X and Y positions constrained to another actors X and Y position + a specific number. All I did was change the specific additive number for each of the changed actors to a slightly different number. (e.g., 242 to 245). Don't see anyway that should cause it to freeze up in Viewer or App. I think you are right, I must have a corrupted file. Any ideas on how to fix this, or do I just have to go back to my last backup (about 10 hours ago) and redo it from scratch.

Thanks for the offer. You are awesome. But your first post gave me an idea that worked. I systematically deleted each actor that I had changed and tested to see if that fixed it. Once I found the one that was causing the problem I reverted back to my saved version (to add back in all deleted actors). I then closely looked at the one actor that was causing the problems. I did not personally see any user error (i.e., programing error in it). But since that actor had the exact same rules as another actor with one minor difference I deleted the non-working actor causing the stall, recreated it and pasted in the rules from the other working actor then made the one minor change back to what it should be. Walla, that worked. Since I doubt I had a file with just one actor that was corrupted, I am now guessing that I indeed have a user error that I just did not see for some reason and when I pasted in the other actors rules, I got rid of it. Either that or it was corrupted. Who knows. Anyways, thanks for the offer of assistance. Also, congrats on Tiny Balls. I just purchased it for Iphone.
