need help with layers please

iam editing the shoot them up template, all i want to do is create a new layer and add the ground to that layer and make it scrollable and x wrap, but everything like ship and boss do the x wrap, how do you know you are in a layer and you are adding actors to that specific layer?

    just by selecting x wrap on one layer this will make all layer x wrap then?

    oh ok i see now why it was not working, i thought i was selecting a layer then going to layer attribute and select wrap x, but i was selecting that for the entire scene, so tshirtboot then if i want my ground to last long i have to make it very large? iam working on a shoot em up airplane game, thanks tshirtboot
