hi, i was just wondering if it is possible to have a light on the home screen spinning round like the cut the rope home screen if you know what i mean using the free version of gamesalad. If you can, how would i go around to do this. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks! Suzy

    Think in reverse.

Open photoshop, create a square, make the outside of the square darker, save it, place it, rotate it.

It's not that you make an area lighter, it's that you make an area darker. VERY EASY.. just have to think outside the box.

Use any photo editing software that can have a transparent background. Create a square, select inverse, color the inverse, drop opacity down to like 20 - 40% (test for what you like) and save it.

Gimp could do it I bet.

Also, this is so simple if you made a request I'm sure some one would do it free for you.

After you add the actor to GameSalad:

    Add the behavior:
    Rotate
    clockwise, or counterclockwise (matters not)
speed 5 (5 can be any number, just effects the speed)

    It will then spin.

    recap:

Step one, create an image with a transparent center square, and the area outside the square is black. Then lower transparency to your liking (start at around 30% I'd guess)

    Import that image into GS.

Add the above behavior to that image.

    Add it to your scene.
