Hi, im new to GS and im currently making my first simple game (im an artist not a coder) for the iMac and im having great fun doing so.
Basically my problem is that i need to test the game and because the built in preview is incredibly tiny when im working with 2560x1440 (27inch imac res) i really need to be able to export my alpha versions into a .app file and was wondering if there is any way of me doing this without an apple dev account.

I tried going down the publish route but it just goes on about uploading stuff...

also wouldn't mind knowing if there is away to get a file onto a jailbroken idevice for testing, just loaded on via SSH

Thanks

Sorry, you need the dev account. TRUST ME, it pays off.

You can publish Standalone Mac apps just not apps for the mac app store.

You should be able to make the preview larger. Are you sure your not on an iphone sized layout?

yeah im not interested in the mac app store, im just making this app for my portfolio to demonstrate my artwork in a game environment.

The original template i used was for the iphone (Basic Shoot Em Up), i then increased the size of the scene and camera to the res of the imac screen

If you do not want the mac app store then you can just publish it. You dont have to set any of the mac app store stuff in the platform section.

It has to upload to GameSalad to be Processed. Mac sure you select Macintosh and not GameSalad.com right after publishing. You should be fine. After it uploads it will build the app and then download it back to your Mac.
