Scene Preview Window

Can anybody give me the lowdown on how the scene preview window works (or link to something that will explain it to me)?

I'm basically wondering if I can enlarge the window - to aid in more accurate positioning of actors?
What does the inner white box represent, and is everything outside of this box unseen on game devices? etc.

Cheers guys.

I too had the same question, but I believe its really only for games where your actor would need to move out of the screen. If your object gets to the end of the window it pushes the screen in that direction. If you make the window as big as the whole screen the object moving around will only wove the screen when it hits and pushes at the end, but if you make it as small as it will go it will make it so the object doesn't really move, just pushes the screen around.

I'm pretty sure this is correct just if someone reads this please confirm it
