Hey everyone,

We are pleased to announce that our latest, and quite possibly our greatest game, iSubmarine is now available on the Apple App Store! We have worked long and hard on this game to make it the best we can. Check out the game trailer below!

You can also view the App Description below.

Have you ever wanted to pilot your own submarine and navigate it through enemy territory? If so, then iSubmarine is the game for you! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to pilot the submarine of your choice and navigate it through enemy waters filled with underwater mines in this endless side scrolling game. Tap anywhere on the screen to make your submarine go up, and release to make it go down. If you hit a mine, your submarine will explode and the mission will have failed. However, as you advance through the game, you can hit a variety of power-up icons that will give you an advantage over the enemy. Advance as far as you can through the enemy’s waters to get the best score possible! Think you are the best submarine pilot in the world? Submit your score to the GameCenter Leader boards to find out who gets bragging rights!

Features:

• Pilot a submarine through an endless number of underwater mines
• 3 different submarines to choose from
• 3 Power-Up Icons to give you an edge
• Shield Power Up – Puts a force field around your submarine for 7 seconds
• Shrink Power Up – Shrinks your submarine to half its size for 7 seconds
• Score Accelerator Power Up – Increases your score 5x for 7 seconds
• Endless hours of game play
• GameCenter Leaderboards
• Simple controls to move your submarine
• High quality graphics and sounds
• Almost no loading times throughout the game
• High score system that automatically keeps track of your top 5 best scores
• Endless side scrolling game
• Small file size to allow for download over a cellular network
• Takes seconds to learn, but countless hours to master

For those of you who decide to bight the bullet and buy this one, I would greatly appreciate an awesome review on the App Store, as well as your feedback in this thread. You can find the game on the App Store at the following link: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/isubmarine/id433339248?mt=8

Help iSubmarine hit the App Store with a bang! Thanks everyone,

- Alex

I really like this trailer. How did you go about making this. It looks like you ran your game in the Xcode iPhone viewer and then used a screen capture program. It that even possible. I'm in the process of making a game right now and would also like to make a trailer movie for it.

@patrick6987: I would be happy to let you know how sales do. My graphic designer said that for whatever reason, submarine games are in right now. Best of luck to you on your project.

@rodh100: Thanks, I'm glad you liked the trailer. Here's how I made it. I used QuickTime to record the sub in the Preview window of GameSalad creator. In the Creator, I put an image of the iPhone simulator running iSubmarine. Then when the sub went past it, I faded to a screen recording (again using QuickTime) of iSubmarine being played on the iPhone Simulator. I was able to run iSubmarine on the iOS Simulator by using the GameSalad Viewer within Xcode. But instead of building it for a device, I just chose Simulator instead. I edited the entire project within iMovie. Hope that makes sense.

@tenrdrmer: Thanks Aaron, I really appreciate all you have done to help with this project.

@everyone: Please spread the word about this game, and if you do purchase it, don't forget to leave a good review on the App Store! Thanks,

@FMG: Wow, that looks like another nice game...it does seen like GameSalad can do good side scrolling games! Glad you like the game as well Joe.

    @RodrigoPerez: Nice background!

Hey one more quick question osucowboy18 if you don't mind. What did you do about copyrighting laws on the music in your video. Is the music that you used royalty free?
  • osucowboy18osucowboy18 Member Posts: 1,307
@rodh100: I composed the music myself, so I own all the rights to it. Hope that helps :)
@everyone: If you have purchased this game, please submit a score to our Game Center leaderboards. Thanks.

Can a sous chef please delete my post with the picture as I received an email from the owner of isubmarine requesting the image I have showing a before and after is violating the LICENSED APPLICATION END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT. I removed it from photobucket but it doesn't seem to break the link going here.
