edited November -1 in Working with GS (Mac)
Im almost done hunting bugs with my "Mad Penguins" game http://gamesalad.com/forums/topic.php?id=25502#post-193286 and i have my ideas and storyline all layout for my ToTB3 entry. Just want to ask which iOS platform do you prefer to start your game with if your planning to release it on all of them. It's quite vital because i will start to work on all my assets and i want to know which is more easier and flexible to start with.

Thanks.

edit: sorry so noob of me. added poll.

I would do all of them. Iphone has more money, but more competition. Ipad is less money, less competition. Mac is WAY less money WAY less competition. So it varies. I would suggest all of them.

Actually i intend to release on all platform but what i want to know is which one should i start laying out my game first. Coz right now GS doesn't support universal app realease and the only way is to redo everything again or by using the GS resizer. But even with Gs Resizer theres must be a advisable platform to start building the app first so it will be easier to resize later.

Oops I read the question wrong sorry. Ya I would start on the platform you would either want to release first, or the biggest. because you might NOT have to redo graphics that way.

So you guyz saying that i should start with mac size or iPad size? The thing about iPad and iPhone is that their ratio is not directly proportional. What if im building a puzzle game is it easier to resize and relocate everything when you start big?

I always go ipad to iphone. Unless Im using a template then I go the other way.

Just submitted my iPad version to apple and changed the camera size attribute for each scene and my graphics are already retina display ready so definitely go big first

Most of you are saying iPad first but how come iPhone is winning :)

I think it's fine to go small and then big, as long as you are working with retina graphics it's almost the same as the ipad dimensions. Then you could just use the ipad size for the mac version too.

The way I work, I create iPhone version first (With Retina Display) Then Resize for iPad and MAC, Using double Graphics of retina display, and adjusting the game a little because of size dimensions.

Why? Because iPhone Market is Bigger.

    Cheers.

Actually if you make your art with the ipad then resize it for the iphone retina then there isn't too much work to be done in that department.

I find that my iAds are way better in ipad versus iphone.
