!!WANTED: BETA TESTERS FOR NEXT BIG HIT!!

Hey guys... been working on this on and off during the past month and a bit. The game does not have a name as of yet. (I'm thinking "His Adventure" help me out with that one?) So here's a video explaining a bit about it.



It's a game for iphone and ipod touch. iPad coming soon. As I explained in the video the game has no music as of yet as I can't pinpoint a style I like.

Looking for:
All iPod touch models.
All iPhone models.

You will basically be playing the game, finding bugs, testing how fun and how hard it is. At the end you will be asked to answer a couple questions :) Hopefully I will get a lot of feedback that I will then use to improve the game.

Any who if you are interested please email me olster1@mac.com with username and iOS device(s) and UDID. Or if you prefer, just leave your email here and I'll contact you as soon as it's ready.

I pretty sure the file size will exceed 12mb after I convert the jpg files for that reason I'm laying off testflightapp so far (their cap is 12mb) I'm also confident it will be under 20mb.

    Thanks guys. I'm excited about this one. Just finished some of the menus. Going to be working on squishing out the major bugs that I know of over the next couple of evenings. Then there is just the question of sound. I'll probably leave that out in the beta because I need to think about it. I'll probably ask all you guys what style you think would fit in.

    Anywho a couple people have said they're interested but haven't emailed me or left their email here. If you waiting until closer to the time that's fine :) UDIDs are not necessary right now but if you just want to pop me a quick email so I can save your address' that would be great.

    looks amazing! I won't be able to beta test :(. another thing is don't say your game is the next Angry Birds, because the app store is a rough place now. not trying to say anything bad, just saying.

    Aw snap I wanted to make that game mechanic too :( Guess I'll put this one in aside...

    Good luck with the game, looks well made hope it sells well. I'd beta test but I don't really always have an iphone available..

    Believe me, this doesn't have the right feel to be the next angry birds... I'm not deluding myself ;) I'mm saying it will od better than my last games :D

    Wait, hang on. Does this work on iPod Touch 1G? 'Cause that's my iPod. I'm very interested in beta testing(By the way, its pronounced BAY-tuh). This is a new kind of game design. Hats off to you.

    Thanks. :) By all means be in the BAY-ta ;) The loading times are good on my iPod touch 2G so it shouldn't be too bad on a first gen.

    For now it's just the iPhone. Once that is out I'll chuck it in the resizer tool, edit and optimize it a bit and hey presto an iPad version ;)

    I don't fully understand your question. I will probably sell a little template of this as I have had a couple requests. It's basically done with a constrained actor. I did have it working without that but it wasn't the correct effect so I opted for the contraint.

    He's asking how you made the actor die when hit on the head yet live when hit on the side.

    I see, well the sides are done with X position rules and the top is done with another actor contraint that turns kill to true when it collides with things.

    Basically if the actor and an object collide if x position of actor > X position of object then change left to false and right to true.

    I love how you described dying when completing the level as a minor bug. Seems rather major to me! Game looks good but I don't have the time to beta test I'm afraid, good luck with it though!

    RH, it is probably minor. He just needs to add a rule to completion. If actor collides with actors tagged whatever, completion equals false.

    Add to his completion rule if completion = true

    Then if he is touching any tags, it won't complete. Bingo.
