Jons GameSalad wishlist:

I'd love to see these implemented, jsut ideas but if it helps make GameSalad even better then great. If they already exist and I'm just an idiot please do tell, as I'm still only now working properly on my first app aimed for App store release.

QUICK UPDATE FILE:
Option so you can right click on an already imported image/audio file and 'update' rather than having to press '+' browse to the file and then choose 'replace'.

VIDEO/MOVIE PLAYBACK:
The ability to play video would obviously be so so so useful for making our games look that much more expensive/professional.

ACTOR TRANSITIONS:
Add transitions, so that images can cross dissolve in/fade in or out, simply by adding a transition. Could eventually build up to a selection of transitions. Push/slide off to left etc etc. Like those found in video editing suites.

CLEAR RAM BUTTON
My system seems to slow down after an hours use or so. Perhaps a clear RAM button would help refresh the system. I currently end up closing and reopening 'GameSalad', I think it makes a difference.

UNDO
Be great if the 'undo' history would still be remembered after doing a quick preview. As when I'm trying to work out why some thing work and others don't its annoying to have to remake anything I've just deleted as a test.

SWAP ACTORS:
To be able to right click on an actor already in the viewer and right click on it and replace with another actor. OR maybe select actor on viewier window, and actor in Inspector/Actors window and press a shortcut to swap the actor. But keep any code/behaviors applied to that actor. Similar thing can be done with in Adode After Effects.

MAKE ATTRIBUTES READILY AVAILABLE:
A way to see an actors attributes, whilst still remaining on the main viewer window. For example, so that a position could be copied and pasted onto a different actor, or you could move an actor see what the position is, and use the numbers for a 'move to' function.

MY BEHAVIORS ONLINE?
May already exist, but may not. Be useful if there was an area of the gamesalad site where users could share behaviors they've created themselves.

Most of these things cannot be done yet so you are not a complete idiot. One suggestion for the undo: If you are deleting a rather complex piece of code that is a pain to recreate after previewing it you can put the behaviors your deleting in a group and drag it to the my behaviors section so that you can quickly drag it back in if you need to. For video you can use quicktime pro to convert a movie file into individual frames and then put these image files into a animation sequence. I haven't tried on a device but it worked fine in the web preview (you'll have to tdo the sound separately). All of the images required for this will make the game quite large though.

    Good ideas overall.

    peace
