Guys,

I have tried almost every VNC or similar app out there. Then I tried SplashTop for IPAD. There simply is no other App that even comes close. It does audio and video super smooth. But there are two reasons why I am posting here.

1. I was running GS Creator on my Macbook from my IPAD 2 remotely. It worked awesome.

2. This gives Flash games some new legs (unfortunately). I tested a number of flash games and they ran great on my Ipad even though I was running through my Macbook. No lag at all. Sound worked great as well. (Actually to be honest, it worked better and smoother that GS Arcade--which surprised me since that is going straight to the source and not using VNC--but I assume that will improve over time).

Anyway, even disregarding the Flash aspects, this is a must have App (currently $1.99) for IPAD 2. Not sure how well runs on IPAD 1 but great on IPAD 2. I am going to love using GS Creator on the go without having to take my Macbook.

Do you have to be connected to the Same Wifi? Or not?

    Cheers.

Nope. As long as your computer is hooked up to the internet you can connect to it anywhere in the world as long as you set it up to do so.

One caveat. The google email sign in for remote access when you are not on your network only works with Windows machines (for now). But you can supposedly also manually remotely connect using the IP address and a password you set up. But I have not tried that yet.

I checked out the free version on my iPad 2 (time limited to 5 minutes) and it works pretty well! It is a little laggy and I find the finger controls can sometimes be a bit big for the buttons, but if you wanted to do a bit of work from a cafe or on the go then its definitely a good solution. I don't think i'd be using it as a permanent solution though, maybe might work better with a stylus.

    Thanks for the recommendation
