I want to be able to use Vector in my GS game but it doesn't support it, so what is the best way to keep the crisp look to my images but save it in a file type that GS supports?

Iv tried saving it for web and devices as PNG, but its very pixelated and looks rubbish.

make your art big in vector form save the vector file and save for web and devices as .png for gmaesalad. Then scale down as neede. Its always best to make your art bigger first if your not sure

Thank you! I hope this works, what size is best to save in vector form, how big should I make it?

create art in power of 2 range.

It still isn't working for me I don't think I'm doing things properly.

For example, I draw a line with a circle on top in illustrator. I make it big. I save it for web and devices as .png24 and transparency ticked.

I put it into GS and scale it down very small, I want it to be a flower in the end, so it is about an inch tall on the bottom of the screen.

It's still pixelated, to the point where it is barely visible.

Am I doing things wrong? Im very new to illustrator.

Iv just tried everything mentioned, and made it the maximum size GS can take, but when scaling it down to a small size it deteriorates and has very rough sharp edges, not crisp.

Any other ways I could try?

Well I also do the same thing as you do when i save the file and also i dont make it larger i make it only the size i exactly need but i use photoshop.I get crisp and smooth graphics in gamesalad. Are you taking 72 ppi when making a new canvas.

Hi 3d10. Yes I am using 72 ppi. I have found a solution to my problem. Instead of making my vector image big, I make it small, save as usual, put in GS, and it looks much better! Similar method to yours I think.

If you make the image just the size you want it, it will be better!

yes this is why i said save the vector file. i didnt mean to scale down in gamesalad. I meant that if you do need to resize you have the vector file so you can keep the image the same size as the graphic and scale down inside your vector program. sorry for confusing you
