Camera Offset issue

Hello!

So, I'm working on an anti gravity game, and would like the "hero" to be situated 2/3s of the screen down. Now, I've made ORBS demo work on the y axis, and it worked sort of as expected. The one problem is, it is incredibly jerky (like its having a seizure). I started this on a blank demo file, so there is only 3 actors, and the three constrain attributes, so its not being overtaxed. This is confirmed with only 10mb memory used and 60fps throughout. I've searched through these forums, but can't find a definitive answer as to whether or not this can be fixed. Thanks in advance!

    I'm not sure what the exact problem is? If you have a rule actor on the screen and went into the current scene > camera > origin and constrain that to Offset X and Y, and tell the hero position X/Y + Offset X/Y it should work if you have a control camera inside your Hero, don't understand the jerky part except Slim Jim isn't as good without the Macho Man

    Have you tested on a device? If so what type of device is it? It probably isn't a problem with gamesalad but probably a problem with the device. I have a lag in one of my games to but that is because there are lots of spawning and animations. It depends on the device if it is going to lag or not. Even if it says 60fps the device may still have a problem. One time I was using GS viewer and it said 1.12fps but my game was running at around 40fps

    @floyd

    You know, that worked. I put in one constrain that said camera origin +100 and it did the trick. All of the info I had found prior required using a "camera" actor which was constrained to the "hero".

    Thanks bud!

    Where exactly did you put the constraint for camera origin +100 Hoogler? I am wracking my brain over this, I also have been trying to do it with a camera actor constrained to the player. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks tshirtbooth, but I have watched this before. What I am looking for is a solution for my character to see ahead of him if he is going right, and if he switches left the camera will go ahead of him to the left, and so on. I can't find any type of tutorial for such a thing. And TheHoogler seems to be saying he found a solution to do this without using an extra actor constrained to the player, but I am having trouble making sense of what they've said in this thread.
