Í am currently working on a game. all the game mechanics are working nicely and i have started making levels. until now i have 20 levels.

I have timed 6 of my friends playing the 20 levels. Average time is 32 min to complete the 20 levels.

So iam thinking with the increase of difficulty i would try to aim at 80 levels hoping for a total playtime around 3-4 hours if your play the game in one sitting.

Then release the game and leave a blank world indicating more levels coming soon.

3-4 hours of play, is that enough to satisfy buyers spending 0.99???

I've seen games with 100+ levels. I've also seen games with 1 level (endless games are sort of that, right?). It depends how good your game is.

again - iam more looking to know about peoples experience regarding playtime - i have seen many buyer reviews saying - the game was too short. more levels please.
Personally i completed tiny wings within 2 hours. havent touched it since.

So its not in terms of how my game is. even if i have the greatest level ever build but it only takes 3 minutes to complete.... people would properly think twice on recommending it to others.

if you pay 0.99 for a game that takes 1 hour to complete - is that ok (if the game is fun)
if the game is !@#$% iam guessing you wont spend an hour on it.
