Good evening,
Just finishing downloading an uptodate SDK before I can test my app on my iphone. Whilst I wait I wait for the long download, wanted to check as I've seen varying references to whether the 'mouse button down' behaviour works as a press of the screen on the iphone. Some references seem to say it does but the ones I've seen were all before iphone support. Otherwise do I need to add 'touch' behaviours in as well.

If mouse down does work, does mouse position also work.

Cheers

Jon....

so nearly there, and just added some nice ripple effects when the mouse is pressed on my secret baby based app.

I have used both Mouse Button Down/Mouse Position and Touch Pressed/Position and they appear to work identically on the iPhone.

However, you might want to use Touch features if you're going to deal with the iPhone's multi-touch capabilities. The engine can handle up to 5 touches simultaneously.

cool...thanks for the reply....will leave it as is for now then and wait for testing once the SDK has downloaded (my broadband just disconnected....damn cheap internet provider)....no need for multi-touch on my current app idea.

    Cheers

All of the Mouse Behaviors translate right over to the iPhone, you don't have to recode it.

Like BeyondTheTech said though, if you want multiTouch, you'll need to use Touch instead of Mouse
