enemy fire

I was wondering without sitting at my mac all day and guessing ... is there a way to have an enemy that is moving spawn a bullet or in my case a cannon ball from a certain point all the time so it looks like its shooting from a cannon and not out of the side of the enemy. I have gotten it close but only on the first shot. If it gets a chance to fire again it totally looks like its comming from behind the enemy.

Any help would be great. Thanks

Not on my Mac to poke around but when one actor spawns another, you can, if I recall, set the x, y, rotation and speed of the actor that is spawning. You can use expressions/equations in those fields to relate them to the actor that is doing the spawning. Also, I think there is a "relative to scene" and "relative to actor" selector too.

Again, if I recall, you would want "relative to actor" and take into consideration the rotation of the actor doing the spawning as well as adjusting direction(s)/speed of the spawned actor based on actor that is doing the spawning - with speed being much more than actor doing the spawning to prevent the actor that is doing the spawning from moving faster than the actor(s) it is spawning...i.e. don't want to outrun your own projectiles/bullets/lasers/cannonballs/etc.

    What a mouthful. :-)
