Uploading new avatar

Hi everyone, I am having troubles with a very basic problem....
I can't change my avatar on the GS forums. I have tried on both safari and firefox with no result. I select the image (have tried both jpeg and png) and let the page load. then i press the tick.

Nothing. My image stays the same. And as you may notice... it doesnt look very professional :P

Anyone know the solution to this problem?

I havent tried changing mine in a while but it seems like depending on what they have done server side that option comes an goes.
