I stumbled across the most amazing music compilation tool... and it's free!

Hey guys and gals!

I was looking for music software to make chiptunes for my games, and I stumbled across this incredible piece of software called SunVox. It's available for Win, OSX, Linux and even iOS!!! It's incredibly easy to use (okay, bit of a learning curve, but easier than most trackers) and can be used for making any type of music. Check out this chiptune demo by the creator:

Just thought that this was worth a mention... still can't believe it's FREE (not sure if mobile versions are free), as it's SOOOO complete! Has replaced all of my music making apps!

    No worries, have fun with it! Very cool app. I LOVE the interface, all the scaling windows... it's very Amigaish, too.

    all i see are gray buttons... i have NO idea how to use this :( it looks like it requires some musical knowledge to begin with. It sure sounds cool though.

    It reminds me of Rebirth. I'm pretty sure that Garage Band has some similar features too.

    I honestly have no idea what that guy was doing with the software but I loved the music!

    I'll have to see if I can even make 2-bit music with Sun Vox!

    Yeah, it looks tough to use but it's actually not. Notes are played with your PC keyboard and the manual is pretty good. Mostly drag and drop interface... definitely don't need to know how to read music, I certainly can't! Think of a "tracker" as an old-school "piano roll", actually pretty intuitive!
