If my character is 64px on the iPod, would i still keep him at 64px on the iPad?

From what I understand, I'm not as well versed as many others, use resolution independence when making iPhone sized games. Use darren's resized tool to size it for iPad.

RI requires your images to be double sized, perfect for iPad.

Please someone correct me if needed.

So does that mean if you make an iphone game and use 128 pixel art, select res. independence it will automatically resize it for you?

RI will reduce you images to 1/2 their size. Which is great when converting to iPad. At least, this is my understanding.

If you make a iphone game with a image thats 128 and you check R.I, when you make a actor out of it it will make the actor 64 since thats half of 128. So now if your using high res art for iphone, all you have to do is import the same graphics in your ipad project WITHOUT R.I checked. Then you have art doubled the size of the iphone game since R.I isnt checked, which makes it perfect for ipad
