ICON theory???

Sorry if i have not posted this in the right place. Was not sure if it should go in another thread, please feel free to move it.

Just started making and designing my icon for my forth coming game 'Zombie Pong'.

Once i started making a few icons I soon realised there lots of things to consider...

Do i go for something that stand out?

Do i go for something that explains the game and sums it up?

Do i go for something different and original?

Any way please let me all know what you think. Im really interested as it seems a lot rides on the look of your icon, your screen grabs and your description (plus the name of course).

If you could also vote on your favourite of my 'Zombie Pong' icons first drafts, it would be much appreciated... THANKS AGAIN

    Is your game of iOS devices? Just most of your icons have the full title, but I know very few icons which do this because the name is always displayed below.

    Jupija - Not a problem, I look forward to playing the game properly.

    MetzoPaino - It is an IOS game and i do agree with you that if a game has its name displayed underneath dos it really need its name on the icon itself??? Still not sure me and my wife are arguing about it as i type...

    I like the B one, because it shows what your game is about, and also, like MetzoPaino said, the name is displayed below the icon, so you don't need to write the game name in the icon.

    It has to be B! Looks professional and was the one that stood out from the others! As others have said having text is unnecessary and makes it look of a poorer quality :( I promise to buy the game on the grounds that the icon be B! Tempted to create more GameSalad accounts to make sure B wins :P
