how to put a maximum of life

hello, I did a life bar, how I can put a maximum of life, if i have a item of recover life, how can i do to the amount not passed the biased value

    If your life bar is say worth 50,

    If life bar is less than 50
    + to life bar

    If life bar is greater than 50 lifebar = 50

    or just change attribute game.life to min(game.life+X,50)
