Fruit Ninja Effect HELP Needed plox?

hey guys,

I'm creating a fruit game and i need when i slash the actor that it cut in the half. but how do i make it into a half I'm going to make a cool effect with it in photoshop that it will be animate if i did it like that i will make a video about it and will share the project with everyone but i need some help here thanks guys and have a nice day bye.

There are 2 fruit ninja templates availbale. Goto new+ and search for fruit ninja

It's difficult in GameSalad to make a fruit ninja style game.

You might be able to accomplish this by spawning two actors that are each a "half" and have them fall down. Or you might be able to make the one actor animated. I believe I saw a post that TSB reliped to a while back (like months ago) and he said he didn't even know where to begin with a fruit ninja style game.

what about the slash effect? I'm curious how you make that a clean effect? I'm guessing it wouldn't be by spawning an actor every 0 seconds, really hope not. Can someone explain?

a real fruit ninja is impossible in gamesalad at the moment. you can record a swipe over the actor then depeending on the swipe distances destroy the actor then spawn 2 halfs over it. thats what the templates do. But you cant detect where the swipe was and cut off that exactly slice or anythign like that

That's okay, we don't have joints. But what is the best way to make the slicer?

hey nextgen creating the slash effect is really easy to make look up in the game salad template list in the game salad.app and search for fruit ninja and read all of it and tada :P

i just created a month ago a game thats with balloons and who says you can't create a fruit ninja game is wrong i did create it with balloons and it looks good and it will be free on the app store i just need to fax apple with my moms ID bla bla and i will make soon a video how to make a fruit ninja game included with photoshop how to's and i will become a sous chef too and i will pay game salad I'm going to learn lua too because in the summer vacation on la trip (yes I'm from holland ) but 100% persian corona is powerful too but we need to pay 350 and i don't want that i just bought a macbook pro 13" so noooo. i have some problems with the animate thing in game salad i just created separate images of the cutted melon in fruit ninja but i can't use it in game salad it does not work properly in animate thing in game salad maybe some help of you will make the magic thanks guys

It's not that easy. I can't use either of those.

1) Toast Kitchen's - looks unprofessional, like he's spawning little actors. Need smooth effect. lines

2) Tshirtbooth's - looks unprofessional, the lines need to actually curve not make more straight lines to make it look like it's curved. Need smooth effect.

Can anyone help with this? Just using TSBs template & making it so it is one line that will curve as you do and as you pull it it well get larger.

I have been working on this as well. I have made one almost perfect but it doesn't work on my Iphone 3g very well, not sure about other devices. Might try it on my ipad2 and see. The animation part seems easy, haven't started that yet though. Lets stay up to date with this and help each other out, I'm pretty sure I can get it right eventually. Also in persian_dev's longest run-on sentence ever (lol) he said he did it, find anything out on that yet?
