Using photoshop to layout my game menu

Coming from a web design background I am used to being able to make a mockup of a site layout and accurately  measure The X and Y coordinates of each image  in photoshop and then enter the coordinates using  CSS and get an exact copy of the mock I made.  Assuming in photoshop the X and Y coordinates are 100,300. When I enter those in game salad it is not in the same position as in photoshop. I am correct in thinking the scene editor window is 1024 x 768 for an iPad and 460 x 320 for iPhone.

Can anyone suggest a solution for this?

your sizes are correct. Ipad landscape is 1024x768 and iphone landscape is 480x320

Iv' e never tried matching coordinates from photoshop like that before, but what i do know is in gamesalad 0,0 (x coordinate 0 and y coordinate 0) is the bottom left corner. So maybe PS bases off a different 0,0 point

I have a feeling but don't quote when working with CSS it takes the coordinates from the corner and not the centre like in GS. I had a go for a couple of hours but I gave up trying to figure out why the coordinates are different.
