found a good site for free sfx

you only get 5 downloads a month but i think its royalty free and free to use as long as you stay within the limit

please let me know if you think your not allowed to use these in games thanks :)

ahh nm, just checked the company faq and it is indeed 100% ROYALTY FREE and FREE to use but only 5 downloads a month.

    Try free sound project it's the only site you will need. can't remember the URL just slap free sound project in google and it should come up. All the sfx on the site are under the CC act.

    Somebody on these fine forums pointed others in the direction of a FREE iphone app called sfxr - http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/sfxr/id349840825?mt=8

    You can make, tweak and save a whole bunch of 8-bit game sounds (which is fun in itself!) and then email the sound to yourself so you can use it in your games.

    ok its not free but it is cheap and the site works well...

    www.revostock.com (they sell stock video and after effects projects but also music tracks and sound effects)

    Worth a look if you can't find a free Sound effect, or make your own.

    I first found it over a year ago when I started making After Effects projects...

    Just bought 8 sound effects off them to use in my very first app, that I submitted to the App store this morning....fingers crossed
