Hey everyone! I'm rather new here and I've been using GameSalad for about three weeks but I wanted to share with you the progress I'm doing in my game: SquareBlobs.

A quick pitch of the game would be something like Lemmings meets Cat Physics and Doodle Destroy.

I made the elements in 3dsmax and got them, in pieces, into GameSalad.

Here are some screenshots:

Let me know what you think. Would you like to play this game on it's looks?

I hope I can have a beta version ready soon. Would anyone like to try it out?

I'll keep you posted with more updates on this game.

Thanks guys.

your background seems to want to be realistic and yet your objects seems to want to be 3d.. seems kind of out of place.. honest opinion. that's what we are here for though.

Absolutely! That's what I want, honest opinions :)

I guess that the background element that you don't quite like are the clouds... right? I loved the idea of real looking square clouds (also 3d generated) are they really not working out for you?

    Any other comments? :)

I agree with ultima that the background looks to realistic (especially the grass and dirt beneath it), but the platforms and actors look 3-d.

Mmm... ok, maybe I'll try to stylize background to have a unified look.

In the meantime here's the title screen. I'm still not really 100% satisfied with it but I think it's kinda the thing I want.

    What do you think?

You don't need a stylized look. Just add some zen-like music to complement the cartoon characters in a realistic environment. But check your rectangle blocks, They look like someone tried to make a cylinder but left out the implied roundness.

As for your title screen, I think it would be better if you showed those actors in a kind of level-like camera; straight in front, not isometric like your current title screen.
