i found this website http://www.dreamstime.com that sells pictures. If i buy the pictures i want, does that mean that the picture is mine and i can use it for my game??
The picture isn't "yours" per se, but you are buying the license to use it in accordance with their terms, meaning you can't sell that picture off as yours to someone else, you can't incorporate it into a web template or have it printed on mugs or T-shirts (that's considered redistribution), etc. But you can use it for book covers, fliers, printed material, websites (not templates), and games.
That being said, you will be able to use it in your game (and for the Macworld Challenge, for that matter).
