Hi all,

Sorry it's been a while. I went on holiday for 2 weeks and have been gone for nearly 3 months, life got kinda hectic, etc, etc...

Anyway, I've had some time this last week to finish off Monkey Up for iPad and get it submitted. Really quite pleased with it now. Trailer is below:

I hope you like the trailer, fingers crossed the game will be out within a week or so.

As far as the Facebook integration stuff goes I will post a full tutorial on Saturday (I promise this time I will :-). A few changes had to be made due to a rather rude email I received from Facebook on the way my app was integrating with their developer stuff, I'll explain in the tutorial. Although, I'm not sure if in the time I've been away that someone hasn't already sorted a good solution for FB (I think Photics said he could do it really easily).

Cheers

Stu

    Great game how did you make the trailer using the ipad?

    @QS

    Cheers mate. Funnily enough I licensed that track originally for a very cheesy intro to some 70s esque film awards graphics stuff I was working on.

    @sghavim

    Not sure what the question is. Did I do it using an iPad? or How did I put the iPad in? I'll answer both by saying that I did it using final cut pro and after effects.

    Sweet man I can't wait for the Facebook stuff. The way Photics referred to was just a URL that auto populates the text you preset in the URL to the Post box. Theres also a twitter version.

    Id rather have an actual facebook app that ties directly into peoples account though. This looks pretty cool.

    @tenrdrmer

    I'll post two ways of doing it. One far easier than the other and (I feel) still just as good, though not as much control over the users data. The other way is probably slightly better but seemed to set off some alarm bells at Facebook that I was setting up bogus apps to steal data.

    @clike

    Thanks :-)

    Hopefully this is a good example of using templates. I'd not really used one before this and it actually took longer!

    I used darrens sheep stacker template and tshirtbooths cut the rope menu templates here, both with heavy modification.

    Funnily enough, I'm submitting a game today (later - after some sleep and testing) that I decided to make because of this:

    The idea being, that it's lazy NOT to heavily modify a template if you're going to sell it - and if a few good eggs can lead by example then maybe... just maybe... we can start to turn this fast buck culture around a bit!

    Wishing you the best for you and your monkeys! :D
