There must be an easier way... (Making a menu)

I've released one game--and I had quite a bit of trouble with the menu. There are 60 levels, and I had to make different menu buttons, that looked different (120 images, for locked/unlocked) and, if reached, are selectable, but only if unlocked. And, the link to the scene had to be changed for each one.

My question: Is there an easier way? Making a menu takes so long... And even when I'm done, even if I check twice or more, I still wonder "Is there a wrong link somewhere? Will clicking the level 5 button actually take you to scene Level6?"

Ok. Thanks Ryan. I guess I'll have to get to work. or make and endless game--hmmm... :)

Are there 3rd party tools out there to help with this? Or a template would be great.

OK, I'll look into those. I've seen (and even used) some of the menu templates out there--I more looking for a way to not have to go into every single actor, and set up the necessary rules and make button5 link to level5.

Anyway, the more I look into it (and what you have both said) I don't think there's a way to get around this issue...so I'll just have to do the hard labor (man, making games is hard work!).
