I think it's a very intelligent being out there, not a magician.

Look at GameSalad, a system of rules, functions and attributes. It screams Order.
A designer who masters that system of order creates a well functioning game.
To design a universe, to design a single cell, two things that show the importance of order, things that obey certain rules, things that possess various attributes....no designer?

As with all things that have spent too much time in pop culture, the bible has been maligned lol.
Give it a read yourself. I have found that the instances where the bible touched on scientific information, it was usually wayyyyy ahead of its time. E.g. Proper waste disposal, the water cycle, the earth being round, the use of blood etc. (there are a few more but I am on my iPad and can't check it lol)

This is a common argument made in favor of a god being. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there is nothing orderly about the universe. The universe is in fact a very wild, unwieldy mass of unrestrained chaos. The sooner we understand that the sooner we realize how full of holes the "order" argument is. We live in our little bubble here on Earth but as soon as we start to examine the world around us, we realize that either "God" is a really clumsy and inept designer or that his so-called existence is a really fantastical myth that should have been laid to rest hundreds of years ago.

    Hey scitunes,
Those blind cave fish might not have been blind very long ago. And those giraffes might've actually kept their heads below their bodies like Diplodocus(maybe they're even related!)a long time ago. In another twenty million years, maybe those blind cave fish will lack any eyes to speak of. And the giraffe-maybe its cranial nerve will shrink, or stay the same. My point is that evolution is a patient arbiter, NOT a stupid designer.

Maybe I wasnt clear in what I said. I think evolution is the most amazing scientific concept of them all. In fact I am such an evolution nerd that one of my favorite music albums is The Rap Guide to Evolution by Baba Brinkman. You gotta check it out.

Please stop arguing over such a silly matter. People have opinions, now get over it. Just because someone speaks their belief, doesn't mean you have to go all out hardcore with you discovery science to make their point of view wrong. As you are reading this, stop trying to find some scientific thing and some snarky catch to make everyone else silent. Can we please close this thread now? This petty cat fight is tainting the "awesomeness" of this forum.

Perhaps a little off the original topic now. But I don't think closing down threads is the way to run a forum.

The point of dodgy concepts for games is still quite an important one. Who remembers the 9/11 cash in app that one guy made. Really the idea of the crusades (to muslims and jews, an attempted genocide) or even a game where you convert non-believers to Christians is a bit ...... off.

i guess nothing wrong with making a Christian games.. but the idea of using a crusader seems like a bad idea... they don't have particularly a good image.. they are the ones that's stabbing people for not believing in God... not cool. more like extremist.

i say work on something more neutral..

This conversation leads me back to my bro's game idea, "Jesus saves, and DESTROYS..!!" ahhhhh. Thought this would push some buttons, not something I was willing to do on my first game attempt. Who knows though, maybe some serious controversy might get some publicity and increase sales. idunno

i never meant for any of this to become a fight or argument i simply wanted to announce my idea because i was excited. im very sorry if i have offended anyone in any way. i would be completely fine if someone closed the thread. i will simply post updates on my site: https://sites.google.com/site/papercrusaders/home instead of here and i wont speak a word until it is finished. i wish i could explain my plans better as i have them perfectly in my head and i dont want to offend anyone. sorry this became so off topic. the game is not going to be like anything that you guys are thinking of i can pretty much guarantee that.

To everyone that is supporting me: thank you so much
To everyone that isn't: i hope there is no hard feelings i never meant for this to offend anyone.
