I need some advice on what to do with my game
I made a game called Circa for the XBOX 360. This game is a shooter like geometry wars but when you destroy the enemy the circles make a musical sound. If you played everyday shooter it is similar to that.
Now I want to take that genre to iOS devices but Im having a problem with what to do. What I want to do is have one level be the length of a pop song ( 2-5 minutes) and what I want to have happen is to create different sound environments the same way a composer writes music. So essentially 1 level = 1 song. Circa was alright but I have improved the process immensely since I created it.
I should also point out that I am creating dynamic sound environment. Essentially I would like these environments to be treated with the same respect as a song.
Here is my problem. I want to release one song a month. Basically the game play is the same but the music is different. So every month or so I would update the game with a new song. On itunes a song is 99 cents. Can I get away with charging a dollar per level?
Im stumped on what to do. Ideally I would make it free + in apps but would the lite + paid be a good approach too?
What would be the best thing to do in this case?

this way, new song = new play. I'd pay then. I'd not pay for the same game, new song.
The levels would have different graphics and game play mechanics but the core game would stay the same.
I have most of the architecture of the game done in game salad I am personally waiting for in app purchases in order to make it. Im going to make this game really heavy on in apps when it comes out.
When you play different levels in shooters what do most people look for?
