Updating after release

Hi,

I was wondering if when you update a game on itunes (add new levels etc.)
and you have all the save attributes in in your game (save unlocked levels, scores, etc.)
If people update will they keep everything they have unlocked/earned and just have the new levels available to unlock?

Or is saving attributes just for keeping track of data when people exit the game or shut off their phone?

It should save the attributes after they update, unless they delete the app, and then re-download it This is not foolproof though, but for the most part, I believe if you update an app, the saves should still be there...
