Simple appstore question

once an app is ready for sale in iTunes connect, how long does it take it to appear in the Appstore itself?

    It depends on if you have already released it on rights and pricing page. If you release an app it becomes available first in New Zealand and will be available at midnight I think EST.

    I just submitted an update and it got approved and says ready for sale and still has not been pushed yet...it usually takes 2-6 hours for once it has changed from ready to sale to being on sale

    Is it still true that you can post-date it to make sure you don't miss your date? And it will show up as new on the actual release date?

    when i released a long way home, i assumed it would take about 7 days to be approved. I also knew i wanted to release on a thursday, so I picked a thursday 10 days out. the game was approved in about 6 days, and went live 4 days later on thursday. it showed up correctly under new releases.

    jon, did it show up correctly, as in, it showed up on the thursday you chose? Or on the 6th day when they approved it?
