Actor Not Spawning in Correct Location.

Hey all, I am still having this same problem and can't find my old post related to this subject. I want to make it so an actor spawn when touch is released and an attribute is set to true by another actor but it isn't working. it seems to remember that the attribute is true and spawns an actor and then waits for touch to be released before completing the rule. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Hey Samman,

This is a great question to ask on Cookbook. We're encouraging people to ask their "how tos" and "why does it do this" questions there. Thanks!

Hi Head Chef, I didn't find anything on cookbook. is it still cool to post it in the forum?

    Hey Samman,

You can always post here in the forums, but asking your question in Cookbook ensures that it grows as a resource - both for yourself and your fellow developers.

Over time, it'll help reduce the number of questions that are asked more than once, and will help us keep the content up-to-date - as well as identify "useful" answers most quickly (questions rated up will appear first).

    Thanks for checking it out!

hey can anyone help me? I hate to plead like this but I am at the end of my rope with trying to get my actor to only spawn under certain conditions. I'm up against a deadline, If anyone could help that would be awesome! Thanks.

It would probably be a good idea to post this in the 'Working with GameSalad' section, i bet that is where most of the people will be and will answer you question quickly.

I really dont Agree with you here Msones. I dont think this is at a ll a question for the cookbook because its not a how to question. More specifically his question really falls into Why On earth is my logic not working type thing. Something I think should not be in the cookbook in my own opinion. the cook book should be how do I do a very specific task type questions. Not heres what I have setup and its not working and in stead its doing this. Don't get me wrong I think the cookbook is a great idea but I have already seen some of the GS Staff "answers" in the form of a question like Can you post some screen shots or give some better information about this. If the question is not to the point enough that you have to reply with more questions then it probably need to be a forum question when a discussion can happen. Otherwise the Cookbook is just another discussion area and becomes far less useful.

Now back to the Topic of this thread.

SAM it sounds to me like you have setup the spawn locations incorrectly for the effect you want. In you spawn behavior set your locations to 0 for both x and y and then make sure you are set as relative to the actor NOT the scene. See how that works and let us know.

I also Renamed the original Thread to match the topic a little better
