    C'mon mate- we're only over 30 *physically* :D

I will play games till the day I die. Anyone that tries to stop me will get a rocket to the face!

That'll be a virtual rocket, I'm sure! Or... maybe not... ;-)

Who's to say how old is too old to do something. It's all just opinion based on trends and fashion. You could say that 30 is too old for actors to be dressing up and playing make believe in movies. You could say that 30 is too old for people to play in bands and try to remain rock stars. You could say that 30 is too old for people to be going out and trying to socialize. You can say that 30 is too old to be on Facebook. You can say that 30 is too old to be on television talking about who's too old to be doing something that your too old to care about.

I say screw em all, and do whatever makes you happy. Or whatever makes you a living.

I thought it was pretty damn weird when they all grabbed hands and started chanting.

Oh gawd.... it's the 4th hour of the today show with Kathy lee and Yoda, Hoda!!

Because we all should be taking advice from Kathy Lee Gifford and Yoda Ho ho hoda!!

I'd rather take advice from a roll of toilet paper than be listening to them!

Yoda Ho ho hoda? In a pagoda? Does she use a yoyo while eating a polo, solo? (No, I've no idea what I'm talking about either...)...

The average game player is 37 years old: http://www.theesa.com/facts/index.asp

@Gryo: lol that would pretty much sum up the 4th hour of the today show :) booze, nonsense gibberish, and lame advice

So if over 30 is too old to be playing games, then I guess we shouldn't be watching movies, unless it's with our kids, especially Pixar films! *gasp*

Logan's Run ... A reference for all of us over 30 I am sure... I wonder how many "Logan's Run" googles there will be for teen GameSalad users.

these people in that video do not represent "normal" people, they are weird people who claim authority over moral "correctness" because they have a tv show.

    honestly, they scare me.

Within 30 years all people who grew up in the 80s will be senior citizens. (The 80s was the dawn of the video game industry) At which point it will be as normal as watching movies. We don't call movie watchers "Moviers" because EVERYONE does it. Even the ancients. Then the division will vanish between gamers and non-gamers as there will be no such thing as a non-gamer.

@Orbz, Well said! I do hope for a world where all people are gamers, and non-gamers will cease to exist :)

I will never forget an encounter I had at a Swap Meet many years ago, and a lady in her 60's (whose grandkids got her into gaming) was shopping for a "new RPG" to play... (at the time, the SNES was the cats meow) and she had already finished Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, and Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past, as well as numerous other RPG's like Illusion of Gaia, Secret of Evermore etc.

She was looking for an RPG that was a japanese import (the name escapes me now, but I think it was Terranigma), and was hoping there was a U.S counterpart.

I was in awe, and never forgot that moment! I hope to meet many more like her!

@Gyro: The thing that made it so special back then was, during the "SNES era", gaming was not mainstream at all like it is now, so it was shocking, and refreshing at the same time!

If I were to encounter that same scenario today, it wouldn't be as surprising, given for example, the Nintendo Wii system's popularity amongst all ages.

I'm guessing they don't consider "golf" a game.
