What he said. Restitution is the bounciness. In 0 restitution, all energy is absorbed and stops the object. In 1 restitution, the energy is neither lost nor gained, so no change in speed In 2 restitution, energy is added to the system, so bigger bounce.
Therefore the values in between these three act a accordingly. For example .5 restitution sucks up some of the energy but still leaves some in the system and therefore the ball will still bounce, but not as high.
any thing above 1 really. the higher it is the stronger it gets faster.
far example 1.01 is like a bee pushing you, and 10 might be like a car pushing you. Either way you are still going faster but one is more noticeable then the other.
