My game won't unpause

I have a level scene, and a pause scene. When I'm running the level scene, there's a pause button in there, that when I hit, it pauses the game (shows the pause scene over the level scene). Then there's an unpause button in the pause scene, which shows up, but when I tap it, it doesn't unpause (even though it has the unpause behavior).

Is there a way to fix this? It doesn't work in the GS player or on my idevice.

    I don't understand this. It works if I have ONE button in the pause scene, but if I have TWO, it doesn't work.

    If I have just a "Continue" button, it works, but if it has a "Continue" and "Menu" button, it doesn't. Is this how it is supposed to act? The main point of a pause menu is to go back to the menu of a game, so this seems wierd.

    No--they are not overlapping. I deleted the actors and the scene, and redid them all, and suddenly it worked. I think it may be because I'm working with a file originally made in 9.4 or 9.5. I'm still not sure what was wrong--I checked everything soooo many times. But anyway, it's working now. Thanks for the help anyway tshirtbooth.

    I am having the same issue and I deleted everything and it still does not work, Any suggestions?

    See if the button is activated on release not on inside or pressed. That might help.
