We didn't have any problems when we tested.

You can send me the project to toyboxuk[AT]hotmail.com and i will take a look at it for you.

The iPad and iPhone have different screen ratios, so how does this resizer work?

Seems like you sent me the compiled app...if this is what your putting in the resizer it wont work.

You need to put the project file in the resizer.

    Hi,

The [Resizer Application] has various options and controls for managing the resize of your GameSalad projects. As for different ratios between different iOs devices and the Mac Store sizes, the tool has options which enable you to control the scale, distortion, positioning or offsetting for all the [Actors] and [Instances] on your Scene.

The Options available within the tool are as follow, along with a description as to what can be achieved with each option:

    1. DIRECT SCALING
All objects are scaled to fit the target resize iOS device: This may lead to undesirable 'stretching' of your actors, but everything is scaled accordingly.

    2. DIRECT SCALING with [EVEN SIZE SCALING]
As Option 1, but Actors with even sized Width and Height attributes are scaled proportionally, so as not to have any distortion.

    3. RATIO SCALING [RESPECT X SIZE]
This option scales the Actors proportionally, with no stretching of the Actors. The user chooses to ensure the X (Width) parameters are the Target destination Max or Min and the Original Project file is scaled to ensure the project fits the X Axis. The Resized Project is position to the LEFT of the target Project Size, and leaves a black edge to the right where ratios are un-even, ie iPad to iPhone.

    4. RATIO SCALING [RESPECT Y SIZE]
This option scales the Actors proportionally, with no stretching of the Actors. The user chooses to ensure the Y (Height) parameters are the Target destination Max or Min and the Original Project file is scaled to ensure the project fits the Y Axis. The Resized Project is position to the TOP of the target Project Size, and leaves a black edge to the bottom where ratios are un-even, ie iPad to iPhone.

    5. RATIO SCALING, with OFF-SET POSITIONING
The Offset parameters enable the project to be resized, with all the target Actors offset so as to allow for an even border around the final target project. This option is ideal for resizing non ratio projects, and leads the developer to only have to fill the background area.
All of the above options can be 'mixed n matched' to achieve the closet desired results. The screen shot below shows the options available within the tool. The main aim of the tool is to get the users project as close as possible to the target size. Inevitably their may be further re-work required of the project, as their are many attributes, rules and behaviours which involve calculations to control the position of Actors etc.

More information on the tool can be found on our website, along with a video of the tool being used: http://www.deepblueapps.com

As Darren has pointed out, we do have a free TRIAL version which is available on request for you to try.
