@touchtiltgames I really don't like the attitude of your comment!, This is forum to share things and help people out, Not! To criticize peoples work!, The style of artwork GameSalad programmers look for is "2d" And What @dapitangraphicscorp does is "2d" Everyone here whom has dealt with him says he's very professional to work with!, I personally think Aldin is quite the expert... @touchtiltgames Please don't troll on someones thread for the sake of criticizing they're work Can a sous chef please delete his comment, THanks, LD
and, I agree with Touch, the examples on the site are not expert artwork … they are good art but generic that said … if I needed 2D art, I would certainly try @dapitangraphicscorp … believe he would do a great job! that is, if SpriteAttack or debugDesign, couldn't do something for me!
I realize everyone has the right to express they're opinions but its a little harsh when you open up a thread offering a service and then having someone criticize your service..
I think he is professional because he is faster than anybody ive ever worked with and hes doing 8 bit for my game so vector skills dont matter even though I think they are great and i know this is a run on sentence but he works insanely cheap
Do i really need to explain, or draw this out? First of all yes art is subjective which means everyone is entitled to their own opinion hence the "IMO". If you went to an art gallery and someone suggested you should buy a piece of work but you didnt like the style, would you still buy it? The seller or true artist wouldn't turn a blind eye. This is the golden rule when being an artist my friend, accept all criticism as constructive and use it to your advantage. If you can't do that you're in the wrong industry. I've been in the arts since I could hold a pencil, have worked professionally as a Graphic Artist for over a decade. Do you think when I was creating graphics for the show Stargate, for clients like Pepsi, umpteen other big clients and Sidney Crosby's website that I got angry when they didn't like something about it? Sure he may be efficient and productive, he just needs to improve on his style. Take a look at fullyillustrated.com and tell me why you think his production value differs? I'm not trying to diss his art, just help him....
Keep practicing because like any profession you only get better. And this is a public forum, not deviantart.
You been criticize us without knowing us. Are you sure with what are you talking? Have you been experience our services? Yes this is a public forum so please give respect everyone here.
Hmm I see everyones point of view in this discussion.
Like, it's subjective to what you've seen of Alidns art. @TouchTiltGames obviously hasn't seen Aldins best work. So he's giving his opinion on what he's seen so far. Which is fair enough. I would hope to see Aldins best work on the front lines! But obviously he has a different method.
Nothing wrong with giving honest, constructive advice.
I think @TouchTiltGames doesn't like your execution(part of style). Knowing how to draw doesn't mean knowing how to create good art. Execution is part of the art creation. The pic above(the old man) is highly polished, but the form isn't quite there to intrigue some audiences. A true professional artist can turn the pic above(the old man) into a better version. I agree with him tho. You have to take any kind of criticisms. If I were you, I would be happy to have some criticisms. Instead of saying "WOW, this is awesome, can't wait to see more." That common doesn't help you to improve your art, unless you want to stay at that level. Remember there are tons of artists better than you. You don't want to your clients to compare their art with yours. Trust me, once they found an artist better than you. You already lost a client. TouchTiltGames took his time to give suggestion/criticism, man, you have to thank him. The taste of medicine is awful, but the patient is needed.
That is all I'm saying. I thought for a minute there a plane flew over his head (sequay) Speaking of planes the plane, tank etc look great, much more refined and ready for commercial sale.

Would have to agree with @Soulist...IMO the work is clip art-like, flat and no personality.
