Uploaded an app without adding a zip file?

hello, i uploaded my first application and followed all of the steps from tshirtbooths tutorials. But one thing was that it never asked me to add a zip file. It still says waiting for upload though. Will my app upload correctly even though, from my understanding it doesn't know what to upload???? :O

it has to be zipped. just right click on the file, and select COMPRESS "youAppName".

then open up Application Loader, this can be found in HD >Developer>Applications>Utilities

choose your app name from the drop down list (if it is not here then you need to log into itunes connect and set it up for upload), then select your recently compressed app.
