button control help

hey every one i need some help ive been working on the controls and what i have done so far is '"when touch is pressed, if change in attributes from none to up then move ". the thing is i want to use 2 different buttons but have him move in the same direction. so i have a left button and a right button. i thought using the same code would work but changing the attribute to something else eg "when touch is pressed, if change in attributes from 0 to 1 then move" i want him to move in the same direction so i placed both moves to 90. but what happens is the left moves him up but the right moves him left not sure why ??? also how do i make it so it corresponds to certain animation?
