App Name Renewal - Fire Maple..?

I read a comment from Fire Maple in a previous thread re. keeping an app name alive for longer than the Apple 3 month limit - I'm sure he mentioned uploading a file and then cancelling the upload before review...

I've scoured the forum and of course can't find it now....

Fire Maple; or anyone who knows - can u confirm what I should be doing...
