Free marketing for your app

ciaphuasciaphuas Member Posts: 9
Hello all,

I have this posted on the Corona forums but some gamesalad devs have found out about me. So I decided to post here to give the entire community the benefit :)

If any of you need free marketing (which is all of you).

Send me your app info with pictures/video and I'll put it up on my Mobile Tech Website.

www.blamza.com

My contact is blamza@blamza.com

- Tony

Helpful Tip#1: To increase exposure for your app be sure to click the share button on the bottom of the post I create for you. Using as many social media outlets as you can will get your word out. It literally takes only 5 minutes to do all these things and you will greatly increase your chances of users seeing your app :)

Helpful Tip#2: If you have extra promo codes send me at least 3. I will include the codes on my post. I have found adding promo codes to posts brings in more users to that post.

Rubbish! is not Rubbish for the Android and iPhone

    Edit by QS:
By all means, promote GS games on this forum - but promoting games made by other SDKs is a bit cheeky, so I've deleted the link.

    Cheers,

Did you not read what I wrote in your previous post???

Edit: Edited your post to remove the link. As I said, feel free to promote GS made games here. But promoting games made without GS is a tad cheeky. Thanks!

Not to mention Anyone can post about their own Game on this forum. You posting about your Sites game reviews is really not the place at all GS game or not.

It seems to me that you are writing a review and then posting a link here hoping to get visitors to your site. Maybe touch arcade would be good place for that sort of forum spamming. :)

I do it on the corona forums as well. Everyone is an indie developer and these communities should help each other. Linking to to my review is advertising for the developer. It doesn't matter what software they used.

It may seem like 'spamming' to you but for small devs, it is advertising and appreciated.

Yes, i've seen that. That does not mean you can do it here. This is a gamesalad site for gamesalad devs.

I don't think, realistically, there's any love lost between the two communities. and let's be honest, linking to the iTunes page of the game only would be better advertising, right?

There are plenty of indie dev forums where multiple SDKs are used by the devs there. There's a whole 'dev' section on the Touch Arcade forums, for example.

As I've said, this is a GS forum for GS devs - not a free for all.

This is nothing personal btw - we get multiple posts on this forum from people making games in Xcode, unity, flash - you name it.

If we allowed them all, the forums would become useless for people trying to find information.

I appreciate that you keep your posts in one thread, but the principle still stands. If I remove someone else's advert for their non GS game, I have to remove adverts for the ones in your post.

    I hope you understand,

    QS

Actually spam is advertising. It's how it presented. If it's on your site it's advertising. If you post it On a forum not accepting of advertising with the exception of GS users self advertising thier own apps and news. It's spam. You can advertise your service in one thread it's just inappropriate to post every link on your site here as well.
