Is there an easy way to select objects behind another..?

Good evening...I'm about to start on my second game idea (my first has been submitted to the App store). Something a bit more ambitious.
Thought I'd ask just incase there is a way people find works best for selecting actors that are behind other actors. I just always seem to be moving actors out of the way to select the one behind...This may be as I got into the habit of putting the rules on individual objects rather than the prototype (need to stop that). But anyway .... what ways do people find works best for them...
Also the 'show initial state button', never seems to do anything for me...other than move the camera back, is that the only thing it affects.
Cheers

that works for moving the object about which is great, but you can't then double click the item to view any rules on that actor, be good if there was a way to turn some layers off, especially as on one scene I've got a black layer that fades away. So when looking at the scene it is just black.
Not overly important but would be handy.
But, I agree that an updated version of the Creator should be able to double-click on the Actor in the Layer list and it will open it up, instead of having to double-click on the Actor in the game screen. Sometimes I end up opening up the wrong Actor next to it, or on top of it, and with the memory leak that GS has, I end up waiting at least a minute or two, watching it open up and close all the Behaviors (another thing I can't figure out why it does that).
