What to write in email to review sites?

Hi. So hopefully my first game will be in the app store in the next few days and it would be good to try and pickup some reviews. What do people find works when emailing these sites?

Is a informal approach a good idea...

'Hi, I'm emailing to let you know about our latest game 'Aimless', released on the app store today. Its a fast paced arcade-puzzle game.... Here is a link and promo code.... etc etc'

What works for you guys?

I submitted a couple of these recently. Basically I went with kind of a "professional/casual" approach. I talked to them like they were a friend, but I still kept it professional in the description and pitch that I was giving them.

    Hope this helps...

    Hi Digi,

I visit these boards from time to time and found your thread. I run appstorearcade and get lots of requests weekly. I actually just posted a tip thread on this! http://gamesalad.com/forums/topic.php?id=29012

When I originally contacted publishes I was super formal, now not so much. When I talk to some larger publishers (Chillingo, EA, etc) the emails are very casual. Personally casual has a more warm feeling to it. Just don't do ghetto! "hey man i got some game I released on the ummm appstore"
