Have another game that works great in preview, but not when I upload to GameSalad.

Ok....why pay $500 a year if it doesn't work half the time. Best part no one answers.

you mean when you test the game on gamesalad.com?
could be your browser, maybe it needs updated. I had difficulties installing the gamesalad previewer for safari a while back. Maybe you should ask others if your game works fine for them and see what browser specs they are running.
    - just a thought -

have you tested your game on a device? GameSalads preview and GameSalad viewer are only ways to quickly test the basics. You have to play on the device to know what does and doesn't work. A lot of times the issue is memory management. Meaning you have none in your game. So when you preview you have several gigs of memory so you don't notice those issues. but on the device you have 40-60Mbs to work with. And really even fewer on the html5 stuff. It seems to not play well even if you use high res art on html 5 versions so memory is a huge deal and until you test on a device you cannot get to terribly upset with the creator. And $500 a year will not help you with making a working game so to answer your question you should not bother with it until you get a working game.

    Good luck
