Okay so my friends and I have decided to work together and make games, everything was going great until some of my friends had different plans for what we should do with are income. I personally want to invest into our little company we got going on, like hire people to work with us, buy more Macs, music artist, graphic designers (in the entry level that is), programmers, ect.
My friend wants to help but wants must of the money he gets from his games be cause he makes them, he does not use Gamesalad and thinks it's a waste of time, so he uses Cocos2d which is great but I don't understand it and neither does he for that mater.
He is trying to make it where his first game will make a lot of money, but I tried to tell him don't worry on trying to make your first game a major hit just try to learn from it, but he wants money What should I do GameSalad?

I suppose you could make money on your first game. Do you have a lot of previous experience in game development? If not, then I think you're right. Use a couple games to get used to the process. Small quick ones and such. Good luck!

That's what I was thinking, because none of us have any experience really. There is no reason to try to make or compete with angry birds or tiny wings, a least that's what I think. There's nothing wrong with thinking big either, but just save those ideas when we have more experienced people working with us to make that idea even better.

To have a business with partners you need contracts and agreements before the business starts that addresses these things for this reason. If you don't have that and cannot come to an agreement get your own Apple account and publish your own games and he can publish his.

If comes down to that I guess that what we are going to have to do. Hopefully not though, we are going to sign the contracts soon and agree to the terms, unless otherwise.
