    Hello Jove, hope you're well.

Please forgive me, but I'm going to assume you're a younger member of the community (sorry if I'm wrong!).

As such, it might be useful for you, and some of our younger members, if I can give you some advice on your games.

Firstly, your link's broken. Don't worry, I've fixed it for you.

Secondly, your video really doesn't say anything about your game. The idea of a video is to 'show' your potential customers what your game is about.

Your video doesn't really do that (nice music though!) and I've seen a lot of people using those iMovie templates.

So it looks like every other game video. And it doesn't show the game at all.

In fact, it looks like your video for your other game:

I'd work on that stuff for the future!

As to the app itself, I haven't downloaded it if I'm honest. There are only four screenshots on iTunes, and three of those are of menus. I have no idea what the game is about!

Your Rocks-Game itunes page is a bit better, as you have two gameplay shots, but only three screenshots in total.

If you're just doing this for fun, then my apologies! But it seems you're trying to sell this stuff, and I thought I could give you some friendly pointers that might help!

    1. You get five screenshots in iTunes. Use all of them. Make sure they all show gameplay, with no more than 1 showing instructions if you feel you must. (no-one cares about menus and company logos - they want to see what the game they might buy will look like).
    2. Get someone at your school that's good at art to help you with your graphics! I used to have awful graphics in my first games. My brother used to say 'Do you even know what an iPhone game looks like these days?' - he was right!
    3. Make your trailers engaging. Make people want to buy your game. Right now, they're just not even showing me what the game looks like. And I know your original 'Rocks' trailer had images, but they didn't move.
    4. Make it easy for people to find your game. Make sure your links work when you post on the forums. And you can now post screenshots here again. Make sure you post some - it just makes it easier on a potential customer.
    5. Keep going! You obviously have an interest in this, but put in a little more effort if you can!

The idea at the end of the day is to have fun, but also to make your game as attractive as possible so that people will click the 'buy' button!

Good luck, and again, I'm not picking on you, I just wanted to give some advice, to yourself, and some of the younger members of the community who also make these basic mistakes!

    Cheers, and good luck!

I agree with QS. I think a big game developer with a proven track record can get away with a teaser video without gameplay as a way of generating interest. I don't think an unproven indie developer can. People need to see gameplay footage, or at the very least, more than vague text.

One more note about the iTunes screenshot: make the first one your best one. Many people may not even bother looking at the rest of your screenshots if the first one doesn't catch their eye. It's the same with your icon. It needs to say "Look at me!".
