problem with calculating average

Hi,

I am doing simple maths to get average, so i add the total score and get the number of games played and divide it together

but when i calculate it myself, its going 20+ points short. anyone know why?

    My guess is that you are using integers to do your sum with rather than real numbers so it rounds down to the nearest whole number during the calculation...

    no but its going well over 20 points not .5 or something.. :(

    How are you doing the sum? I have just done an add and divide and am not having a problem.
