WTF SOUS CHEFS OR GS?!?!? YOU BANNED WRONG IP Address

I just tried to get on the forums from my IPHONE and it says my IPHONE IP has been banned for at least a week because it is supposedly associated with a ____ ____ (whoever that is) who supposedly asked to trade for purchased templates. That is not me!!!! Look-up my member data. My name is Jon Dotson. My user name is Dotsonj23. I have never even known anyone named ____ _______. Before banning someone for a minimum of a week maybe whoever did it should get their facts straight. I am pretty pissed. I use my IPONE data plan to access this forum from my computer so to even get on I had to go to a wifi hotspot. That will not do. This should be corrected immediately. And I mean now.

FYI... Why even take that chance at that mistake. Why not just ban the person from logging in. That way they can't post or send messages. Banning an IP is just stupid because you can always use a different internet access point.

    I just double checked that IP only has his posts on it. I'll unban that though if its causing you issues.

    Thats the tough part with IP's Occasionally this happened but we want to keep the rif-raft away as much as possible.

    And to answer your question we do both. Username and IP. That help to keep them from creating a new account and coming right back. I certainly apologize for the inconvenience. But we always try to ban the IP address too. UnFortunately Sometimes this happens. and we take care of it when it does.

    Thanks for the quick response. That is really weird. How does he post with the IP from my Iphone? How about just banning the person from logging in?

    I know I sounded like a jerk and am sorry If I offended but was already having a bad day. Calms down......

    IP change every so often. Normally its not an issue but. Today your phone got assigned the IP of the guy from earlier. Also I edited his name outta your post so other don''t know who to contact for template trading. We ban Both IP's and Username of Spammers and Guys like that.

    I did release the ban on that IP so you should be fine now. No worries on being upset I would be if it was me. Imma close this down And Prob delete after a while.
