I am making a base defense side scroller an I want my camera to scroll over just so they can see the enemies coming! I have a button that spawns a tank but when I move the camera the tank moves with it instead of traveling the span of the level! I have a invisible actor that moves when I hit the left an right key an the camera follows! Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Make sure you don't have your tank being controlled by the button and make sure your tank is in a scrollable layer. If its in a non-scrollable it will always stay in the camera view.

It sounds like you need to work with your scene layers. Each layer can either be scrollable or not. If it's scrollable that means when the camera moves away from it, it wont follow. If it isn't it will stay on screen no matter where your camera is (this is good for hud actors).

I tried to work with it but it doesn't start off on the screen! So I can't find it in the choices! Is there anyway to make it scrollable?

The problem is the tank doesn't start off on the screen so I cannot select to make it scrollable or not!

You chose scrollable in the layer. The layer is either scrollable or not. Not each actor. Thats what the video showed you how to check. You have to watch it all to see how it all works.

And if that not your issue then could you please post a video because i'm not understanding whats happening otherwise.
